Posing with a tramway rail grinding machine in Mainz, Germany

In the picture, I had participated in a support group meeting in Mainz, in Germany. After the meeting we all went to a restaurant for a meal, about a mile away. Interestingly, everyone who had been at the meeting went to the meal ... no-one said she wouldn't like to face the general public. Anyway, on the walk out to the restaurant we passed a grinding machine that was being got ready to grind the tramway rails in the narrow street. The workmen pretending not to notice us. An hour and a half later we were walking back to our cars; by now the men had had a chance to discuss their group reaction to us, and their reception was much less subdued.
